Details about the release of DriveLock 2024.2

Device control extensions

  • Composite and MTP Device Authorization: End users can more easily authorize multi-function devices, saving time in device management.

  • Drive Class Configuration: Administrators can now centrally manage drives and set specific rules for USB drives.

  • Export of Drive Rules: Faster management and reuse of drive and device settings through simple export functions.

Usage policy and content security

  • Usage Policy Extension: Users can now use alternative credentials to grant access to drives.

  • Expansion of Content Scanner Events: Display of file header information for blocked files provides better insights into security events.

  • Archive Scanner for Network Drives and Containers: Encrypted archives and deeply nested folders are now also scanned.

Application control extensions

  • Management in DOC: Full integration of AC and ABC functions into the web-based DOC.

  • Process Tree for Forensics: Improved forensic analysis through a graphical representation of process calls—ideal for identifying Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs).

BitLocker management extensions

Platform and license management

  • More Efficient License Management: Optimized tenant-based license management for better clarity.

  • API Extensions: DriveLock platform integration into existing business processes is facilitated by extended API functions. This simplifies change management and further automations.

  • Automatic Deletion of Inactive Computers: Easy inventory cleanup through the automatic deletion of inactive devices.

Encryption management and compliance

  • Centrally Managed Encrypted Directories: Administrators can centrally manage access to sensitive data, making it easier to comply with compliance regulations.

Human Risk Assessment & Security Awareness

Expanded platform support

How do I get the new version and information?

For our on-prem customers: The new version is available via the DriveLock Management Console under DriveLock Enterprise Services → Product Packages and Files → Software Packages 
 
For our cloud customers, the backend has already been updated with the DOC. You can also check the current status of our systems at any time on our online status page
